Just two months after moving to York Science Park and securing a place on the Springboard start-up programme, digital marketing agency and Chamber member, Tailor Made Media has outgrown its first office and is preparing for a move to a bigger space at the park.
The seven-strong Tailor Made Media team will move to a 12-person office next month as it prepares for rapid growth and a programme of recruitment to cater for a growing client base. Managing director Sam Risker says, “We were very happy to be awarded a place on the Springboard programme, and we’ve been taking advantage of the learning opportunities on offer. Already we’re outperforming our growth forecast for the first quarter of the year, and the beauty of the Science Park is that we have the flexibility to upscale our office space in line with this growth.”
The Springboard programme is built around the needs of start-up businesses and offers – among other things – a flexible rent structure in line with the sales curve of a young business. It also provides access to learning opportunities and networking on site, led by the Science Park team.
Science Park CEO Tracey Smith says: “When it comes to awarding Springboard places, we’re looking for businesses with a solid business and cashflow plan or the potential to develop a sustainable business model.
“With Sam and the Tailor Made Media team, we were very impressed by the technology that sits behind the digital marketing strategies and support they provide; such as geo-fencing capabilities that allow them to deliver highly targeted promotional messages on behalf of clients. It’s fantastic to see them achieving success so quickly, and we’re very happy to have them at the Science Park.”
Tailor Made Media is working with clients across the country in the construction, building products, hotel, food and drink sectors, providing free of charge marketing audits alongside website, branding, digital marketing and lead generation services. The team is also working with a number of international clients, and is in discussions with more prospective clients overseas following online enquiries for their services. They will be embarking on a programme of recruitment over the coming months to make sure the business is effectively resourced to deliver continued growth.
