We’re Supporting World Cancer Day 2020

Tailor-Made Media have been fundraising to mark the 20th anniversary of World Cancer Day on 5th Feburary 2020. The team have been collectively taking part in various fundraisers, alongside running in-house events to support the research behind Cancer diagnosis, treatment and prevention.

Staff at the York-based marketing agency took part in the ‘Tough Mudder’ challenge which consisted of 13 gruelling obstacle courses, all spread across a muddy 5K run. All the staff crossed the finish line at The Broughton Hall Estate in Skipton on July 27th 2019. After crossing the finish line staff members celebrated their fundraising capabilities with live music and dancing – a huge £975 was raised in aid of Cancer Research.

The fundraising did not stop there, Tailor-Made Media also run a weekly dress down Friday where staff members can come in casual attire in aid of Cancer Research. This a continuous event that is a great way of fundraising on a weekly basis.

Samantha Ware, CEO and Founder of Tailor-Made Media expressed how the charity was close to her heart in a statement “All of the team have been affected by Cancer in one way or another, we want to do all that we can to help find a cure and eventually beat this disease”.

Cancer Research provide imperative funding and support to scientists, doctors and nurses to help them beat cancer sooner. This fundraising is incredibly important due to lack of government involvement. Cancer Research also offers information to the public, and thanks to fundraising, over the past 40 years survival has doubled.
